Europe’s largest Microsoft Dynamics GP reseller, m-hance, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve MacDonald to strengthen the ERP Pre-Sales team with immediate effect.
MacDonald is responsible for supporting prospective customers in finding a suitable ERP solution based on their specific requirements, reporting to head of Pre-Sales, Andy Brown.
Having previously led ERP installs, upgrades and enhancement projects to over 50 of m-hance’s 400 Dynamics GP customers, MacDonald brings a wealth of experience to the team. Commenting on his appointment, MacDonald said: “Whilst ‘the cloud’ represents an exciting opportunity for many organisations, at m-hance, we recognise that one size does not fit all. The reality is that many organisations still prefer a solid case for on-premise solutions as part of their digital transformation and growth plans, and I can help them. I am delighted to be taking on this role and look forward to working on new and exciting products with my new team.”
Brown, who leads the Pre-Sales team, comments: “Steve’s first-hand experience and knowledge of Dynamics GP made it clear he is ideal to provide decision makers with every possible insight they may require. Dynamics GP is one of the most used financial systems across the globe, and it is still growing, so it’s great to be able to utilise Steve’s expertise for the benefit of those considering their ERP options.”

Why Microsoft Dynamics GP?
With the collected noise of cloud, SaaS, and managed service offerings drowning out the business solutions marketplace, on-premise solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics GP are often perceived to carry the unappealing “mature product” label. The fact remains that there is a strong demand for on-premise solutions for companies that want customisations and comprehensive user access privileges that are beyond the capabilities offered by cloud solutions. Enter Microsoft Dynamics GP. Microsoft Dynamics GP is one of the best in class on-premise solutions available, and a resounding winner for organisations that have outgrown their existing systems, want a quick and inexpensive install and do not want their financial records in the cloud. Amongst Dynamics GP’s other major strengths is the ease in scaling up in line with user growth which is reassuring given that average accounting software investment is roughly 7 – 10 years.
Microsoft has currently committed to a Roadmap for Microsoft Dynamics GP extending to 2019. But what does that mean for customers considering this well-established software solution? Contrary to industry speculation, you can rest assured that Microsoft will not reach its ambitious growth targets by turning its back on the 47,000 companies that use Dynamics GP. Even if the roadmap for 2019 and beyond isn’t crystal clear at this point, you can expect a seamless path to guide you from your existing platform to Dynamics 365 once it has been fully released and become established. But in the meantime, you can expect three new Dynamics GP releases and an active feature request portal, which sums up Microsoft’s continued commitment to Microsoft Dynamics GP customers.
